National Industrial Relations Conference

The Arbitration Council Foundation hosted its National Industrial Relations Conference on 14 December 2009, focusing largely on the impact of global economic crisis on the industrial relations in Cambodia. 

The conference looked at the impact of the economic crisis on labour disputes, individual workers, and the national economy.  The conference included discussion of the experiences of different stakeholders, and ways in which workers and employers can work together to address the crisis.  There was also discussion of the importance of vocational training, and the importance of social dialogue during difficult economic times.

Speakers included representatives from the Arbitration Council, Government, ILO, employers and unions.
