With the support of the Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia (GMAC), Better Factories Cambodia (BFC) and the International Financial Corporation (IFC) have taken the first step on the path to a new line of services that aims to support Cambodia’s garment factories’ journey to more efficient and greener production. In this partnership, the support of the IFC’s cleaner production expertise is essential to making this initiative relevant to garment factories. Better Work, through BFC, contributes to facilitating economic and social transition promoting green jobs which contribute to inclusive growth while reducing emissions, and greening the workplace by mobilizing employers and workers to improve energy efficiency of existing facilities and equipment. This is in line with the new ILO Green jobs initiative. The survey was conducted by BDLink Cambodia and the energy experts from Comin Khmer. |
